What is PEMF Therapy?

PEMF stands for Pulsed Electromagnetic Field therapy—a non-invasive, drug-free treatment that uses low-frequency electromagnetic waves to stimulate the body at the cellular level. These pulses work like a battery charger for your cells, helping to restore energy, promote circulation, reduce inflammation, and support natural healing processes.

PEMF has been used for decades in Europe and the U.S. to treat a variety of conditions in both humans and animals. In fact, the FDA first approved PEMF therapy in 1979 for non-healing bone fractures, and since then, it’s been used to support everything from post-surgical recovery to chronic pain, arthritis, stress, and fatigue.

  • I use a certified PEMF machine called Magnawave that is used by medical professionals, athletes, veterinarians, and wellness practitioners across the globe. It’s able to deliver targeted, deep-penetrating PEMF pulses in a way that’s gentle but powerful—providing relief in as little as one session.

    Magnawave is:

    • Safe and FDA-registered

    • Non-invasive and pain-free

    • Designed for use on both people and animals

    • Backed by years of clinical research and use in performance-based industries like equine sports, rodeo, and elite athletics

    • Late 1800s–early 1900s: Early use of electromagnetic therapy began with rudimentary devices in Europe.

    • 1979: The U.S. FDA approved PEMF therapy for stimulating bone healing in non-union fractures.

    • 1990s–2000s: Expanded research into PEMF’s effects on pain, circulation, inflammation, and cellular function.

    • Today: PEMF is widely used around the world for both humans and animals, with companies like MagnaWave leading the way in innovation and accessibility.

  • Modern life is full of stress, injury, poor posture, and environmental toxins—all of which can drain our body’s energy at the cellular level. PEMF helps to restore balance by recharging cells, improving oxygenation, and supporting the body’s own ability to heal. It’s gentle enough for pets and powerful enough for athletes—and it’s changing lives every day.

What to expect with a session

PEMF Generation

The PEMF machine produces electromagnetic fields by pulsing a current through an attachment or coil. This creates the magnetic fields which vary in frequency, and intensity depending on the settings of the machine and the attached coil.

Application

The user positions the coil or other attachment (like a mat, or paddle), near or directly on the part of the body requiring a session. The generated electromagnetic fields then penetrate the body, stimulating cellular metabolism. Sessions can range from 5-30 minutes.

Stimulation

Once the electromagnetic fields penetrate the body, they induce tiny electrical currents in the cells. This can stimulate the cells, promoting improved cellular function and health. It can increase ATP production (cellular energy), improve oxygenation, and help cells to detoxify and absorb nutrients more effectively.
